A Musical Trip to Europe

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 | Uncategorized | Comments Off

Last year, I finally got around to backpacking through Europe. After planning my trip with Travelocity, I headed off to enjoy some of the great music and visit as many places as I could in Europe.

Budapest, Hungary
The Sziget Festival in August! What an amazing event. We were on the island of Obudai off the River Danube in Hungary. The island was a city of tents for the Festival. All of the stages were plentiful and the music was wonderful. Iron Maiden was the first to play and they were followed by five more days with bands such as The Killers and 3 Inches of Blood. All in all, it was a great time for rock fans! Learn more about the Summer Festival.

Kildare, Ireland
If you are going to be in the vicinity of Ireland, the Oxegen Festival held there is not something you should definitely have on your itinerary. Famous name headliners for all rock and roll fans will be playing and there is camping near the premises. I personally haven’t experienced this festival, but my friend highly recommends it. There were lots of friendly people and great music.

On the Mediterranean
Camping on the beach awaits you when you attend the Benicassim Festival held in Spain each year. It is a 4 day festival that attacts music lovers with some really great music and a great atmosphere. The energy is unique, like nothing you have ever experienced. It is a must see event if you are a music fan.

Music lovers that are looking for somewhere to travel to this summer may want to check out Travelocity coupons for some money saving deals to these incredible destinations. Make your reservations and head to Europe for a great getaway whether you are backpacking or prefer to stay in a hotel. Recovering From Addiction Through Music?

Monday, March 30th, 2009 | Uncategorized | Comments Off

It is true, from some individuals recovering from addiction can be a life long struggle that never ends. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be. There are many great resources to help eliminate the problem so you’re not an spending your life fighting it. Along with to structuredrehab centers I found some cool addiction recovery music that really put a better perspective on addiction with more effective an progressive ways to recover more quickly.

It is very cool recovery music but a story similar to Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” that is going through of the 12 steps. I would say it sounds kind of like a flavor of nine inch nails and muse but not as dark. He’s got a few song previews on his site at inspiringrock.com and I think that is because they are temporary before having it professionally produced. Either way it is nice to see good music from the electro rock genre. It is great recovery rock -and- with a new perspective.
